English: KODIAK, Alaska (Nov. 17, 2004) --An HH-60 Jayhawk pilot from Air Station Kodiak practices vertical rescue deployment on the cliffs around Kodiak Island. Often, hoisting by helicopter is the only way to retrieve an injured person from a cliff face. USCG photo by Lt. Patrick Bacher
