Български: 392. Кът от гробищата в с. Долно Чамурлий, Кюстенджанско. Изобилствуват куклите, които в много случаи заместват каменните надгробни паметници. Куклите са от дъбово дърво, големи и масивни - дебели от 3 до 6 см. Каменните паметници са повечето плочи с гравирани зигзаговидни орнаменти и издълбани кръстчета с вензелите на Ис[ус] Христос — гравирани около тях. Тук над гробовете се срещат бели байрачета, забити до паметника, също и фиданки. Флагчето означава, че в гроба лежи „работен" млад човек (юноша) - момче или момиче, стигнало възрастта, при която почва да бъде полезно с работата си вкъщи и на полето. На върха на флагчето връзват китка цвете; такъв букет прибързват по същия случай и на куклата. Символичното значение на флагчетата, паметниците и фиданките е „умрелият да почива под сенките им" (дядо Иван Стоянов, 81-годишен от с. Еникъой). Скицирано на 29.IX.1917 г. (т. 7, обр. 105.) |
