Istanbul Big Camlica Mosque Tiles panel

Summary[edit]

Description
English: This type of tile can be seen often nowadays, in particular in some of the subway stations. The mosque being on the eastern part of town in the foreground several of the main sights in Üsküdar (some facing the wrong way, artistic licence has been taken a lot). The Maiden's Tower in the Bosporus, and then the European sides. The panel is in an area reserved for women prayer on one of the higher floors, but that was enforced only when prayer started.
