Description
Español: Retrato de la reina Isabel II de España (1830-1904), que fue hija del rey Fernando VII y de la reina María Cristina de Borbón-Dos Sicilias. Dos años después de que Isabel II fuera proclamada mayor de edad, el Ayuntamiento de Sevilla encargó al pintor Vicente López Portaña un retrato de la soberana que habría de presidir la Sala Capitular. Y el 21 de febrero de 1845 se acordó en una sesión plenaria del Ayuntamiento, y con el beneplácito del ya anciano López Portaña, que lo pintaría bajo la supervisión de Joaquín Francisco Pacheco, creando su último prototipo de retrato oficial de la mencionada soberana.
