Description

Iron screw steamer the Helen Nicoll after collision with SS Kielawarra, which sank off North Solitary Island, New South Wales, 1886, by Kerry & Jones, from albumen print, State Library of New South Wales, collection.sl.nsw.gov.au/record/9Bv74K09#5jrJNr466WPB6

The Helen Nicoll arrived in Sydney. 1883. The collision with SS Kielawarra resulted in the loss of 48 lives, six of whom were from the Helen Nicoll. She was scrapped in Berry’s Bay, Sydney in 1932.
