Description
English: Gold Coin. North East Coast Uninscribed Stater of the Corieltauvi, ABC 1719, Van Arsdell 800-7, Haselgrove Period 2 Phase 6, 50-20 BC.

Obverse description: Abstracted head of Apollo right, stick with crescent through wreath, the crescent here enclosing a sun of pellets, three curls with V-shaped inset, further curls below exergual line. A pellet in an eye-shaped curl above the horses head is also a feature of ABC 1722, though all other details of this coin provide a closer match to ABC 1719. The ABC describes this coin as 'scarce'.

Obverse description: Celticised or disarticulated horse right, sun below horse, charioteer's arms and pellets above.

Diameter: 18.8mm, Thickness: 2.5mm, Weight: 5.91gms, die axis: possibly 3.
