Summary[edit]
DescriptionIridium flare.png |
English: iridium flare above Athens. When an iridium satellite passes above an observer and its solar panels are in the proper angle against the Sun, so to reflect sunlight directly to the observer. Then, the observer sees this flare which can reach an apparent magnitude of up to -8 or even more sometimes (like a very slow but very bright meteor). |
