Description
English: An interior view of a Protestant church in Chengtu, Szechwan. In the windows, Ming-dynasty lattice; in the center, the Circle of Heaven, the Square of Earth, and the Cross of Christ. Over the top: 'Illumined in the worship of God,' a quotation from the Classics. On the right: 'Love God with all your heart...' On the left: 'He that willith to do His will shall know.' At the bottom: 'Exalt Jesus.' The foreign and local Christians worship together here. See also "Protestantism in Szechwan".
