Description
English: Immortalite (1859); Melpmene (1857)

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the body plans with sternboard outline, sheer lines, and longitudinal half-breadth proposed (and approved) for Immortalite (1859) and Melpomene (1857), both 60-gun Large Frigates, which were re-ordered and lengthened as screw frigates in 1856. The plan includes the lengthening of the stern of the frigate from around this time.
