Primeros símbolos de los cristianos: el pez y la canasta de panes. El acrónimo IXΘΥΣ se lee "ijtus" o "ichtus". Iota = I = Ἰησοῦς = Iesus (Jesús), Iesús Jristós Ceú Yos Sotér, es decir "Jesús Cristo Hijo de Dios Salvador". El ichtus o ichthys (del griego ΙΧΘΥΣ ijcís "pez") es un símbolo que consiste en dos arcos que se intersecan de forma que parece el perfil de un pez a modo de una vesica pisciso mandorla horizontal, y que fue empleado por los primeros cristianos como un símbolo secreto. Presente de cerámica que compré en la Catacumba de San Callisto. Vía Appia Antica. Llegando a Roma. Enero del 2004. |
