| Description |
English: The picture shows an apparatus for measuring the human airway resistance. The patient breathes normally through a tube and a defined flow resistance e.g. a metal grid. During normal breathing, the loudspeaker creates a pressure pulse which propagates partly into the patient's lungs. The gas flow sensor and the pressure sensor measure the evolution of pressure and flow over time. |
