Summary[edit]

• Italiano: Lapide sulla facciata di Palazzo Marino a Milano (attuale sede del Comune) sul lato di (Piazza Scala). Esalta le virtù guerresche di Milano contro gli invasori tedeschi, prima nelle "Cinque giornate di Milano", nel 1848, e poi durante la guerra partigiana. Un parallelo decisamente di cattivo gusto, frutto dell'ideologia della Guerra Fredda: qui si cerca infatti di svalutare l'antifascismo, nascondendo il fatto che la guerra partigiana fu combattuta contro i nazisti tedeschi, sì, ma anche contro gli italianissimi fascisti, e non certo contro i tedeschi in quanto popolo. • English: Plaque on the facade of Palazzo Marino a Milano, Italy, on (Piazza Scala) side. It commemorates the warrior virtues of Milan against teutonic invaders, first during the "Five days of Milan" against Austrians in 1848, then in the Partisan Resistance against Germans in 1943-45. This exercise in poor taste is a clear product of a Cold War mentality, trying to censor the role of Anti-fascism in the Resistance, since Partisans fought against nazi Germans, but also against their very Italian Fascist allies, and never against the German people as such.
