  • Italiano: Milano: lamina in metallo (rame o bronzo) sbalzato sulla barocca "crocetta" (monumento devozionale di riferimento per una confraternita religiosa) in Piazza san Nazaro in Brolo, una delle poche superstiti delle molte che punteggiavano Milano in epoca controriformistica. La placca (un tempo, dorata) rappresenta sant'Elena, che secondo la pia leggenda "scoprì" la Vera Croce: il soggetto sarebbe quindi adatto all'iconografie delle "crocette", usate da confraternite dedite al culto della "Santa Croce".   • English: Milan: embossed metal (copper or bronze) plaque on the baroque "crocetta" ("little cross") in Piazza san Nazaro in Brolo square, a devotional monument built by a religious confraternity, one of the very few surviving in Milan out of the many such monuments scattered around Milan during the Counter-Reformation period. The (formerly gilded) plaque portrays Helena of Constantinople who, according with pious legends, had "discovered" the "True Cross": such a subject would be suitable for a "crocetta", used by confraternities devoted to the worship of the "Holy Cross".
