This stamp issue consist of five stamps, each representing one of the five principles of the "Pancasila" as philosophical theory forming the basis for the state ideology of Indonesia. These five fundamental principles are anchored in the 1945 founding constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and are:

1.) The believe in one supreme God
2.) A just and civilized humanity in the Indonesian society
3.) The unity of Indonesia through diversity of its people
4.) The sovereignty of the Indonesian people
5.) The social justice in the Indonesian society
