Description |
English: On verso of image: Dawson-Hydraulic mining on Bonanza Creek. Following the hand milling the creek claims passed into larger holdings. $8,000,000 was spent on a flume line from the upper Klondike River and the hills were washed away. Even in the summer the lands of the North are frozen to unknown depths and can be washed down only as they thaw.
