English: 171017-N-MC499-091 CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct. 17, 2017) Air Force General Lori J. Robinson, Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command speaks to Marines attached to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) during a visit to the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) to meet with leadership and discuss operations in Puerto Rico. Kearsarge and the 24th MEU are assisting with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting FEMA, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
