English: A U.S. Navy helicopter arrives with food, water and humanitarian supplies for tsunami survivors on Sumatra, Indonesia, on Jan. 7, 2005. Helicopters assigned to Carrier Air Wing 2 aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) are providing humanitarian assistance to areas devastated by the Dec. 26, 2004, tsunami that struck the Indian Ocean. The Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is currently operating in the Indian Ocean off the coasts of Indonesia and Thailand as part of Operation Unified Assistance. |
