English: Maj. Gen. Charles L. Hudson prepares to sign the Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month Proclamation drafted by the Family Advocacy Program March 25 at Building 1 on Camp Foster. The proclamation “calls upon all community members, advocacy and treatment agencies, religious organizations, law enforcement agencies, and medical facilities to increase their participation in efforts to prevent child abuse, thereby strengthening the community in which we live.” Over the past four decades, the federal government improved identification and treatment programs to help abused children as well as increased awareness and prevention to save children from possible abuse.
