Summary[edit]
DescriptionHubblePlots.png |
English: Hubble Plots of nearby (left) and nearby and distant galaxies (right). Data are originally from Adam Reiss, downloaded from a file available at https://adamdempsey90.github.io/python/dark_energy/dark_energy.html. These plots are presented in a somewhat unusual way within the field of cosmology. The reason is that they were created to accompany the worksheet on "Hubble's Law" from the Prather et al. Lecture Tutorials for Introductory Astronomy workbook, which investigates Hubble Plots as simple Distance vs Velocity graphs. |
