Description
English: Houses of The Close: no. 69, The Walton Canonry Built in 1720 on the site of an earlier canonry, it takes its name from Isaac Walton the younger, son of the great fisherman Isaac Walton. His son took up residence here after his appointment as a residentiary canon of the cathedral. Another former resident of modern times, was the author Leslie Thomas. The house is Grade I Listed.
