| Description |
English: Hotel, Poldhu Point. The radio station where Marconi successfully made his first wireless transmissions across the Atlantic in December 1901 was sited nearby. The station closed in 1933. When the site was cleared in 1937 part of it was given to the National Trust and a monument erected to commemorate these pioneering wireless transmissions.
