| Description |
English: Hospital entrance Main entrance to Robinson Memorial Hospital.This was a cottage hospital erected by funds donated by Samuel Robinson who had emigrated to America and was a founding member of the American Stores Company.The hospital was opened in 1932 and is now(due to cutbacks and centralisation in the Health Service) a geriatric hospital.A Health Centre has now been built to the right of the site providing general health services to the surrounding community. |
