Description
English: Small chapel at Professor Vershofen Street/Haus Nieland Street/Colored Street (Professor-Vershofen-Straße/Haus-Nieland-Straße/Bunte Straße) in Hopsten, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Deutsch: Prozessionshäuschen an der Weggabelung Professor-Vershofen-Straße/Haus-Nieland-Straße/Bunte Straße in Hopsten, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Es handelt sich um eine offene, dreieckige Kapelle, deren Dach zusätzlich von einem Pfeiler gestützt wird. Über dem Altar hängt eine von dem Rheiner Bildhauer Georg Gomille geschaffene Schutzmantelmadonna. In der Außenwand ist zudem eine Kreuzwegstation eingelassen. Die im Jahr 1962 erbaute kleine Kapelle ist eine der Segensstationen der jährlichen St.-Annen-Prozession der römisch-katholischen Pfarrgemeinde St. Georg zum nahen Wallfahrtsort Breischen. Dafür wird die Segensstation von den Anliegern unter anderem mit Blumenteppichen festlich geschmückt.
