| Description |
English: Home Guard memorial, River Ray, Blunsdon. Compare with this 465578 taken about six weeks earlier. Since then the adjacent River Ray has flooded and washed away a lot of the vegetation revealing the anti-invasion obstacles. The statue is called 'Waiting' and the sign to the right of it states 'WWII Military Defence Works. GHQ Stop Line Red. Thames/Ray'. Some clearance of the undergrowth has also been carried out by the looks of things. |
