| Description | This is a triangular shaped plate which dates to c.1746-1800 and came from the Holitsch factory in present day Northern Slovakia. The factory was first founded by Francis of Lorraine in 1743. It developed a distinctive style of floral painting in its creations. This object is today part of the collection of the Koerner European Ceramic Gallery of the UBC Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, Canada. Its museum catalogue number is Ch199. |
