Summary[edit]

Description This dish with cover tin-glazed earthenware (faience) dated to is a triangular shaped plate which dates to 1746-1800 and came from the Holitsch factory in Northern Slovakia. The factory was first founded by Francis of Lorraine in 1743 and developed a distinctive style of floral painting in its creations. This object is in excellent condition and is today part of the collection of the Koerner European Ceramic Gallery of the UBC Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, Canada. Its museum catalogue number is Ch200.
