Description
English: Photo taken 2021 of the exhibits in Hjemmefrontmuseet Rakkestad, a local World War II resistance museum in Rakkestad, Norway, exhibiting approx. 3000 objects related to Nazi Germany's occupation of Norway during the war 1940 – 1945 and the time period:
  • Norwegian currency (Norwegian øre): Wartime coins from the 1940s
  • Local printed currency issued by a local woolen goods factory:
The military needed metal for their own operations. Due to a scarcity of metal for coin production, factories introduced various solutions for paying wages. At the time, A/S Stemme Uldvarefabrikk was the largest workplace in Rakkestad. They created cardboard tokens with different denominations that functioned as currency in Rakkestad's stores. These tokens could then be exchanged for paper currency at A/S Stemme Uldvarefabrikk.
The photo shows common cultural heritage artifacts and historical items that are not protected by copyright or privacy laws and exhibited in a museum open to all visitors. The image does not reveal any signed or unsigned intellectual property related to the exhibits, e.g. museum models, logos, posters, exhibition designs, etc.
  • Gjenstander utstilt i Flyktningerommet:
      • Oslo Adressebok 1955: Stemme Uldvarefabrik A/S. Virksomheten i Rakkestad omfatter ullspinneri, appretur, veveri og dampfargeri. Salgskontor i Oslo; Grunnlagt: 1895; Antall ansatte: 100 (1939)
