1827 ; Erivan wasinvested by General BenkendorfF, who, however, raisedthe siege on the approach of the shah towards Khoi ; butthe good effects of this movement were counterbalancedby a check which the prince sustained before Abbasabad. andthe treacherous surrender of that town, which soon followed.
