On na représenté dans celte figure, pour la simplifier, que deux bouteil-les remplies de potasse en liqueur; mais il en faut beaucoup davantage, et jene crois pas quon puisse en employer moins de neuf. Il est bon de mettre dansla dernière de leau de chaux, qui est le réactif le plus sur et le plus sensiblepour reconnaître lacide carbonique : si elle ne se trouble pas. on peut être as-suré quil ne reste pas de gaz acide carbonique dans lair, du moins en quantitésensible.
