Description |
English: Seattle pioneer Henry Yesler commissioned William Boone to build his house. Completed in 1884, the mansion occupied the whole block between James St. and Jefferson St., and between 3rd and 4th avenues. It was the largest home in Seattle in 1884. From 1899 to 1901, the building housed the Seattle Public Library until the mansion burned down on January 2, 1901.
