Description	Deutsch: Helmstadt-Bargen (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis), Ortsteil Bargen: Decke der katholischen St.-Peter-und-Paul-Kirche, 1904 in neugotischem Stil erbaut. Die Bemalung der hölzernen Decke ist für eine kleine Dorfkirche bemerkenswert aufwändig und sehr gut erhalten. Am oberen Rand ragt die ebenfalls bemalte Orgelempore ins Bild. Das zentrale Bild zeigt das Schweißtuch der Veronika und die Leidenswerkzeuge Christi; das Spruchband des unten abgebildeten Engels besagt „Im Kreuz ist Heil“ (Zitat aus Thomas von Kempen, De imitatione Christi, Kapitel 12). English: Helmstadt-Bargen, Germany, district Bargen: ceiling of the Roman Catholic Saint Peter and Paul Church, built in 1904 in Gothic Revival style. The paining of the wooden ceiling is astonishing for such a small church and preserved well. At the top a part of the painted organ gallery. The central painting shows the Veil of Veronica and the instruments of the passion; the angel at the bottom holds a banner saying “In the cross is salvation” (quoted from Thomas à Kempis, De imitatione Christi, chapter 12).
