Description
English: Heavy rollers near Abbess Roding, near to Little Laver, Essex, Great Britain. This field has recently been prepared for seeding, and is part of Cobbler's Pieces farm which produces straw for thatching and fodder. On the 1940s OS map, the farm is called Parker's Farm. The wood in the background is Brickles Wood, where there are the remains of the WWII bomb dump for Matching airfield. Brickles Wood used to be called Brick Kiln Wood, a reference to the brick making that was carried on in the area.
