Title
heart shaped weight
Description
English: Large lead object in the shape of a heart. Probably cast, as no tool marks can be seen around the edges. The back is flat. the edges are bevelled slightly and are 8mm thick. The upper surface has a raised 'spade' shape in the centre, with suggestions of other raised smaller shapes or letters around it. Some damage around the edge, possible caused by plough damage or when in use.

Dating to the post-medieval period - 17th century onwards, the item is could be an unusual weight. However, it weights 225grams, which equates to 7.9ounces, and so unlikely to be a legal weight. Alternatively, it could be a large love token.
