DescriptionHayesville Opera House.jpg |
Originally opened in 1886, the opera house has been restored and used for movies and plays. It's an Ashland County, Ohio building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With a population of about 440, Hayesville appears in stark contrast to most small towns that I see with empty buildings and peeling paint. My son and I found the building when we turned off U.S. 30 down to the the old Lincoln Highway. The theater has a web site with interesting history: [1] "Men in Black 3" is currently showing and admission is $3.00. |
