Description
English: Hatchment in the tower at St Mary's Church, Iping, West Sussex, for the funeral of Sir Charles John James Hamilton, 3rd Baronet (1810-1892), Companion of the Bath (CB), of Iping House, who married Catherine Emily Wynne, a daughter of William Henry Wynne, of Dublin. Arms of Hamilton (Earl of Abercorn (Hamilton quartering Arran)) (with inescutcheon of a baronet) impaling: Vert, a chevron ermine between three wolf's heads erased argent (Wynne, of Ireland) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.1145). With insignia/badge of the Order of the Bath below.
