Pnl. / In deze Schilderij, bekend onder den naam van het Hooiwagentje, ziet men een door verſcheiden perſonen beladen wordenden Hooiwagen; twee ontſpannen Paarden, waarvan een aan ’t hooi knabbelt en ’t andere daarneven ſtaat, worden vergezeld van een derde Paard, waarop een Man en eene Vrouw gezeten zijn, welken, door een daarbij ſtaand perſoon, eene kruik wordt aangeboden: op den tweeden grond twee Visſchers aan eene Rivier, en bij eene brug eene derde figuur met een hond. / De zilverachtige toon, en de geesteige toets en behandeling, doen eer aan dezen Meester.’)
