Title
Harness pendant
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy harness pendant probably dating from the late 13th to 14th century. The pendant is shield-shaped and in profile, is slightly convex across the width. The suspension loop is present and, as is usual for the type, is at right angles to the axis of the pendant. The surface of the pendant has been lost, but a series of eight raised horizontal mouldings survive. The mouldings may have been gilt, while the areas between, may have held enamel.
