DescriptionHamsa Statue in Bago.png |
English: This is a statue of two hamsa (sheldrake) birds located in the city of Bago (the capital of Bago Region, Myanmar). The statue depicts the Mon legend of how Bago was founded: a male hamsa becoming a landing island for a tired female hamsa. To its right is a sign indicating that Kanbawzathadi Palace, built by King Bayinnaung, is one mile away. |
