| Description |
English: Hampstead Square Abutting Heath Street which forms one side of the square, this was described in 1725 as having been, 60 years previously, a 'high hill and a sandpit so that there could not be any way through'. Now, several quiet residential roads run off it and Christ Church dominates the southeast corner.
Number 1, Hampstead Square, in the picture, was built around 1720. |
