English: Hampden on Ben Loyal with Ben Hiel in background Handley Page Hampden P2118/D crashed on Ben Loyal (NS52) on 25th August 1943. Only the Wireless Op; Cecil ('Guy') Faulks of Sheffield survived this event which occurred close to midnight in an electrical storm. Wreckage is sparse and well scattered. The picture shows undercarriage parts on the eastern slopes of Sgor Chaonasaid at 480m ASL with Ben Hiel (NS103) 1.3km away as a backdrop.
