Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Navy deep sea rescue vehicle Avalon (DSRV-2) aboard the Royal Navy ballistic missile submarine HMS Repulse (S23) at the U.S. Holy Loch Refit Site One, Scotland (UK), circa 1979. Repulse "rescued" the crew of HMS Odin (S10) during an exercise. In the background are the floating dry dock USS Los Alamos (AFDB-7) and a Leander-class frigate.
