English: 180918-N-SF508-0093 PEARL HARBOR (Sept. 18, 2018) The Royal Australian Navy Hobart-class air warfare destroyer HMAS Hobart (DDG 39) pulls alongside the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam as part of the 100 Years of Mateship celebration between the United States and Australia. 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the first time U.S. and Australian troops fought side by side in an offensive action, at the Battle of Hamel on France’s Western Front during World War I.
