Description
Afrikaans: Hendrik Fredrik Prinsloo was 'n Boerekommandant in die Tweede Vryheidsoorlog wat op 7 November 1900 by die Slag van Leliefontein gesneuwel het. Sy seun kolonel H.F. Prinsloo OBE ED is na die 2de WO deur die naoorlogse Italiaanse regering en die pous vereer vir die humanitêre aard van sy bevelvoering oor die Zonderwater Italiaanse krygsgevangenekamp naby Pretoria.
English: Hendrik Fredrik Prinsloo was a Boer Commandant in the Second Boer War. He was killed at the Battle of Leliefontein (also called Battle of Witkloof) on 7 November 1900. His son Colonel H.F. Prinsloo OBE ED was decorated by the post-WWII Italian government and by the Pope for the humanitarian manner in which he commanded the Zonderwater Italian POW camp near Pretoria.
