Elle est née à Paris, le 7 août 1847 et décédée à Paris, le 12 octobre 1933. Photographie d'Alexander Bassano en 1881. Hélène Standish est l'une des figures de la vie mondaine et aristocratique parisienne et sert de modèle également à Marcel Proust pour son personnage de la duchesse de Guermantes.
