Title
English: Guide Shelter and Gibralter Rock.
Description
English:

A stone building blends into the rocky slope of a ridge on a mountain.

The Camp Muir Guide Shelter was built in 1916 out of locally gathered rock. You can see here how well it blends into the landscape, one of the tenets of the NPS Rustic architecture style. Gibralter Rock is the large rock feature in the background, with a sliver of the summit of Mount Rainier just visible.
