The Guaita fortress is the oldest and the most famous of the three towers constructed on Monte Titano (San Marino). It was built in the 11th century and served as a strategic watchtower on the City of San Marino and briefly as a prison.

This place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, listed as
San Marino Historic Centre and Mount Titano.
