Summary[edit]

Description
English: knickpoint in river "Gruchen", tributary of the Lauchert, near Gammertingen, Swabian Alb. Like most Lauchert tributaries it fell dry already in Late Neogene.
The steep slope of the lower 2,3km of the valley, caused by episodic headward erosion, and the flat continuation behind the knickpoint are a measure of denudation of the terrain around the Lauchert since its tributaries fell dry.

Vgl. Th. Abel, Untersuchungen zur Genese..., Tü., 2003.
