Français : ou par une griffe "RETOUR A L'ENVOYEUR / Courrier pour l'Indochine limité aux / Cartes Postales non recommandées" avant son départ. En effet après Pearl Harbor, les voies maritimes (via Dakar, Tamatave) et aériennes (via le Pacifique ou via Singapore) sont interrompues. Seule reste la voie du transsibérien qui n'accepte que les cartes postales non recommandées. Lettre d'un ouvrier indochinois de la M.O.I. de Montferrand (numéro matricule en haut de la lettre) pour sa famille en Annam, en franchise militaire seule la surtaxe aérienne a été perçue (18F/5g) 21/11/41, transit Marseille 23/11. Le premier avion vers les USA étant après le 7 décembre, la lettre reste bloquée à Marseille. Seule la voie du trans-sibérien reste disponible vers l'Indochine, mais cette voie n'accepte que les cartes postales simples. La lettre est donc retournée à l'envoyeur avec une griffe encadrée 80 x 21 mm "RETOUR A L'ENVOYEUR / Courrier pour l'Indochine limité aux / Cartes Postales non recommandées".
