Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Great Cormorant Phalacrocorax carbo is a member of the cormorant family. It is found along the inland waters of the Indian Subcontinent and widely elsewhere. It is a gregarious species that can be easily distinguished from the smaller sized Indian and Little Cormorant by its blue-green eye, large head with extensive yellow on the face (surrounding the eye), sloping forehead and a long stout bill ending in a hooked tip.
