| Description |
English: Great Chart's Victoria Cross Holder - William Knox Leet VC CB This inauspicious gravestone marks the final resting place of William Knox Leet VC CB who died in 1898 and is buried in the churchyard against the wall to Court Lodge. Knox Leet was the first Irishman to be awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery saving a fellow officer in the Zulu Wars in South Africa in 1879.
